摘要

Abstract

The efficient and environmentally friendly resource utilization of coal tar residue from gasification has be-come a hot topic in the field of hazardous waste for coal chemical industries.Howerver there is no large-scale disposal technology available.It is necessary to conduct a comprehensive study on the physicochemical properties and toxicity of coal tar residue from gasification to provide a theoretical basis for its efficient utilization.In this study,various methods such as GC/MS,Soxhlet extraction,and thermogravimetric analysis are used to analyze the physicochemical properties and toxicity of coal tar residue from gasification.Research on physicochemical characteristics including the physical properties,composition,charcoal chemical reaction characteristics,toxicity etc.of coal gasification tar res-idue from gasification are conducted,the rule of weight loss during pyrolysis was explored too.The results indicate that coal gasification tar residue contains nearly 40%fixed carbon and 50%volatile matter with characteristics of high calorific value,extremely low ash and sulfur content.Its properties are similar to those of coal tar residue from coking and pyrolysis which provides valuable information for the future research and utilization.The total content of polycy-clic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)such as toluene,naphthalene,fluoranthene,phenanthrene,pyrene and anthracene in coal gasification tar residue reaches up to 70%which is the cause of its classification as hazardous waste.The active thermal decomposition reactions take place in the temperature range of 150 ℃ to 660 ℃ with characteristics of fast py-rolysis rate and intense release of volatile matter.Coal gasification tar residue contains nearly 40%heavy oil with ap-proximately 15%of the light distillates below 350 ℃.The elemental composition of these light distillates is similar to that of light distillates in coal tar.In additon it contains 40%coal-coke powder forming activated position after canbon-ization at 600 ℃.<350 ℃ light fractionrecovered from the gasification tar residue can be hydrotreated into fuel oils un-der certain conditions and also holds significant potential for applications in the field of activated carbon production.
