Abstract

The treatment effect and efficiency of coal chemical production wastewater using high-efficiency coagulation and sedimentation technology were analyzed,and the effect of this technology on the removal rate of chemical oxygen demand(COD),total phosphorus and ammonia nitrogen(NH3-N)in wastewater was investigated,and the optimi-zation effect of different coagulant types and dosage on the treatment efficiency was evaluated.Polyacrylamide(PAM)was used as coagulant,with different dosage gradients of 5,10,15,20 mg/L,and combined with poly-aluminum chloride(PAC)assisted coagulation,high-efficiency coagulation and sedimentation treatment of coal chemical production wastewater was carried out.By regularly monitoring the concentration changes of COD,total phosphorus and NH3-N in wastewater before and after treatment,combined with sedimentation efficiency and effluent quality indicators,the treatment efficiency is systematically evaluated.When the dosage of PAC increased from 10 mg/L to 80 mg/L,the COD removal rate increased from 34.7%to 67.3%.When PAC dosage was in the range of 40-80 mg/L,the growth trend of COD removal rate gradually slowed down.When the dosage of PAM increased from 0 to 5.5 mg/L,the COD removal rate increased from 1.3%to 58.0%,and the COD removal rate of PAM was higher than that of PAC under the same dosage.For the removal of total phosphorus and NH3-N,PAM showed better effect than PAC.When PAM dosage was 5.5 mg/L,the removal rates of total phosphorus and ammonia nitrogen were 76.00%and 67.50%,respectively.High efficiency coagulation and sedimentation technology combined with appro-priate coagulant type and dosage can significantly improve the treatment efficiency of coal chemical production wastewater,in which the removal effect of PAM is better than PAC,and the sedimentation effect is more stable.
