Development and usability of serious game"Home Visit Navigator"in Community Nursing

Abstract
Objective To describe the development of serious game"Home Visit Navigator"(HVN)based on design thinking in the course of Community Nursing and evaluate its usability.Methods The development of HVN was guided by the theoretical framework of design thinking and its usability was evaluated.A serious game prototype was developed and tested based on the five stages of empathy-define-ideate-prototype-testing in design thinking process.The usability of HVN was evaluated by the System Usability Scale.Nursing undergraduates from a provincial medical university who volunteered to participate in the test were selected by purposive sampling.Semi-structured interviews were conducted using a focus group methodology,with five groups of six participants each,to understand user experiences.Results Thirty participants were recruited,and the average score of the System Usability Scale was 73.00±6.93.Two themes and seven sub-themes were obtained in focus group interview,and the two themes were unique learning experience and game optimization direction and application suggestions.Conclusion HVN helps to deepen students'understanding and memory of knowl-edge,improve their problem-solving ability,and provide an immersive and interesting learning experience,thus serving the function of integrating education with entertainment.In the future,the system will be further improved and upgraded,and its effectiveness will be verified in the next round of teaching.关键词
