Abstract
Objective To systematically evaluate the experience and needs of older adults'online health information-seeking,and to provide reference for subsequently improving online health information-seeking experience in this group.Methods We searched databases including PubMed,Web of Science,Embase,The Cochrane Library,CINAHL,Scopus,CNKI,WanFang Data,VIP Data and SinoMed from the inception to June 2025 to collect qualitative studies regarding the experience and need of online health information-seeking in older adults.Results A total of 14 studies were included,from which 56 findings were extracted.These were synthesized into 11 categories and further integrated into three synthesized findings:benefits derived from online health information-seeking;barri-ers to online health information-seeking,and needs for online health information-seeking.Conclusion The experience of older adults with online health information seeking is complex.While they benefit significantly from this practice,they also face multiple challenges.Future initiatives should focus on addressing the specific needs of older adults in online health information-seeking to ensure effective access to and utilization of required health information,thereby enhancing their health literacy and overall quality of life.关键词
