Comparative Experiments of Thick-Skinned Melon Varieties(Lines)

Abstract
To meet the demand of the Hainan market,enrich the variety of sweet melon varieties,promote rural revitalization and sustainable development of the sweet melon industry,further highlight Sanya's unique role as the Silicon Valley of Nanfan Breeding in Hainan and the national platform for showcasing and promoting new sweet melon varieties,expanding the display,observation,and exchange of registered varieties(lines).Excellent new varieties(lines)of thick-skinned cantaloupes suitable for application in Sanya,Hainan,and similar production areas through a comprehensive evaluation of economic traits such as individual plant yield,heart sugar,edge sugar,flavor,plant growth,and netted rind of 62 varieties(lines)from 20 breeding units(companies).These indicators can be used to objectively and accurately evaluate the differences between varieties(lines).These 10 varieties have the best comprehensive performance,including the smooth-skinned melon has YL-10 and Zhongtian Cuixue;the yellow-netted melons include Dumi Orange 1,Golden Flower,21-6,21-7,and Jianghuai Mi 4;and the green-skinned netted melon 2095,Dumi Orange 5,and 25-1.which can be promoted and planted locally.关键词
