Abstract

To carry out research on the adaptability of Dendrobium spp.for introduction and cultivation to better protect and utilize wild Dendrobium resources and provide a favorable basis for guiding the development of the Dendrobium industry.Using 40 native wild Dendrobium species introduced from Guangxi,Yunnan,and Hainan to Guilin as materials,this study investigated their adaptability to cultivation in terms of stress resistance,new bud tillering,flowering,and fruiting.The prin-cipal component analysis was used to comprehensively score and rank the adaptability of Dendrobium introduction and culti-vation,and cluster analysis was used to classify them,making the comprehensive evaluation results more scientific and objec-tive.The results indicate that there are three classes:upper class(18 species),middle class(16 species),and lower class(6 species);the upper class has the strongest cultivation adaptability,which is conducive to large-scale promotion and planting in Guilin;the middle class is relatively weak,and it is necessary to strengthen maintenance and management measures such as pest control and fertilization during the planting process;the lower class has poor adaptability and is suitable for planting on tree trunks in shady environments in forests,and careful maintenance is required during the planting process.
