恶性肿瘤患者伴发脑脓肿3例误诊分析暨文献复习
Analysis of Misdiagnosed Brain Abscess in Malignant Tumor Patients:A Report of 3 Cases and Literature Review

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics,diagnostic challenges,and therapeutic strategies of brain abscess complicating malignant tumors,with the aim of improving clinical differentiation and management.Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on three malignant tumor patients who were initially misdiagnosed as having brain me-tastasis but were ultimately confirmed to have brain abscess.Clinical data were reviewed and integrated with a literature re-view to summarize the differential points between brain metastasis and brain abscess in terms of epidemiological characteris-tics,pathogenesis,clinical presentations,and auxiliary examinations.A differential diagnostic workflow was established.Results:Among the three patients,one developed intracranial lesion during anti-tumor therapy,and the other two were ad-mitted for head-related symptoms.Imaging studies were misinterpreted as brain metastasis in all cases(two accompanied by pulmonary space-occupying lesions).All diagnoses were confirmed intraoperatively as brain abscess.Among them,two cases had well-controlled infections.Conclusion:Brain ab-scess is uncommon in patients with malignant tumors and might be readily misdiagnosed as brain metastasis.Careful assessment of medical history,imaging details,and laboratory tests is essential to establish the diagnosis.A systematic diagnostic approach,together with optimized selection of antiinfec-tive and antitumor treatment strategies,can improve patient outcomes.关键词
