补血通络丸联合关节镜治疗半月板损伤伴骨髓水肿疗效观察
Observation of therapeutic efficacy of Buxue Tongluo Pill combined with arthroscopic treatment for meniscus injury with bone marrow edema

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Buxue Tongluo Pill combined with arthroscopic surgery in treating Grade Ⅲ meniscus injury with bone marrow edema and to provide evidence for its clinical application.Methods Forty patients diagnosed with Grade Ⅲ meniscus injury and bone marrow edema at Neijiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between January 2023 and January 2024 were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group(n=20)and an observation group(n=20).Both groups received identical foundational treatment(arthroscopic meniscus trimming and plastic surgery).The control group was administered perioperative oral glucosamine hydrochloride,while the observation group received perioperative oral Buxue Tongluo Pill.Pain scores,knee joint function scores,Whole-Organ Magnetic Resonance Imaging Scores(WORMS),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels were recorded before and after treatment.Results No statistically significant differences in pain scores were observed between the two groups before or after treatment(P>0.05).Both groups exhibited improved knee joint function scores post-treatment,with the observation group demonstrating significantly better outcomes than the control group(P<0.05).No significant differences in WORMS scores were noted between the groups before treatment or at 1 month postoperatively(P>0.05).However,the observation group showed significantly lower WORMS scores than the control group at 3 months postoperatively(P<0.05).Baseline TNF-α levels showed no significant differences(P>0.05).At 1 and 3 months postoperatively,TNF-α levels in the observation group were significantly reduced compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Buxue Tongluo Pill combined with arthroscopic meniscus trimming and plastic surgery alleviates knee pain,improves joint function,and accelerates postoperative recovery.Long-term oral administration of Buxue Tongluo Pill demonstrates therapeutic efficacy in mitigating bone marrow edema.关键词
