摘要

Abstract

Based on the systematic sphygmology for syndrome differentiation system constructed by Professor Qi Xianghua,this paper expounds its role in the preventive treatment of diseases in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)from aspects such as early disease identification,constitution identification,health preserva-tion,and early warning of diseases in Western medicine.Pulse elements are the smallest units that make up the pulse.Systematic sphygmology for syndrome differentiation describes and measures pulse characteristics with modern physical indicators,and conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis and research.Based on the mapping relationship between pulse elements and the body's state,the pulse system is formed through coupling.Different pulse systems represent different levels of diseases,and have systematic diagnosis of diseases related to constitution,five-spirits,etiology,pathogenesis,psychology,etc.,forming an integrated treatment and nursing system of"pulse-syndrome-treatment".Pulse diagnosis,as an important part of TCM diagnostics,plays an important guiding role in the diagnosis technology in the process of preventing and treating diseases.
