Abstract

To address the limitations of conventional wet scrubber,which often rely on singular dust suppression mecha-nisms,and with the aim of further enhancing dust removal efficiency,we investigate a dust suppression method that combines surfactant spraying with wet,metallic mesh filtration(wet scrubber).The experiments focus on examining the impact of key parameters,including surfactant concentration,the ratio of composite surfactants,and the gas-liquid ratio,on the dust remov-al performance of the wet scrubber.The results show that the addition of surfactants significantly improves the dust collection efficiency of the wet filtration dust collector for both total dust and respirable dust.A composite surfactant mixture(CAB∶SDS ratio of 3∶2)at a total concentration of 0.25wt%achieves the lowest surface tension and contact angle,indicating opti-mal wetting performance.At gas-liquid ratio of 0.4,the dust removal efficiencies for total dust and respirable dust reach 93.74%and 73.37%,respectively,representing improvements of 28.53%and 37.50%compared to using pure water.
