Rice Fields,Leizi and Mud Walls:A Discussion of Three Technical Elements of Dual Attributes of"People"and"Craftsmen"
摘要
Abstract
Traditional Chinese craftsmen have the dual attributes of"people"and"craftsmen",and these two attributes participate in the whole process of residential construction,which is an important perspective for the study of residential construction technology and culture.Taking the three elements-rice fields,Leizi and mud wall-in southern Sichuan as an example,this study analyses the tandem treatment of materials,tools and space by folk craftsmen,and discusses how the techniques of"people"and"craftsmen"penetrate each other in multiple processes and work together in the construction of folk houses.关键词
