Effects of corn water-soluble protein on laying performance,egg quality,nutrient apparent metabolic rate,and immune function in laying hens

Abstract
The experiment aimed to investigate the effects of corn water-soluble protein on the laying performance,egg quality,nutrient apparent metabolic rate,and immune function in laying hens.A total of 3 024 Hailan brown laying hens around 50 weeks old were selected and randomly divided into four groups,with six replicates in each group and 126 hens in each replicate.The control group was fed a basal diet,while the groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ received basal diets supplemented with 2%,4%,and 6%corn water-soluble protein,respectively.The pre-test period was one week and the formal test period was six weeks.The results showed that there were no significant differences in the average daily feed intake,egg production rate,egg weight,egg production volume,feed-to-egg ratio and the rate of unqualified eggs among each group of laying hens(P>0.05).The egg shape index and yolk color of each experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The apparent metabolic rate of dry matter,crude protein and total energy in each experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The apparent metabolic rate of lysine,methionine,tryptophan,arginine,leucine and isoleucine in each experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The apparent metabolic rate of histidine and threonine in group Ⅲ were significantly higher than those in other groups(P<0.05).The apparent metabolic rate of valine and total essential amino acids in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ were significantly higher than those in group Ⅰ and control group(P<0.05).The apparent metabolic rate of aspartic acid,serine,cystine and total non-essential amino acids in each experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the apparent metabolic rate of alanine in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ was significantly higher than that in group Ⅰ and the control group(P<0.05).The concentrations of interleukin-12 and immunoglobulin M in the serum of laying hens in each experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The study indicates that adding corn water-soluble protein to the diet of laying hens enhances egg quality,nutrient apparent metabolic rate and immune function.Among them,adding 6%corn water-soluble protein has the best effect.关键词
