Calculation Model for Generalized Carbon Emission Costs of Typical Logistics Enterprises

Abstract
To scientifically and reasonably quantify the generalized carbon dioxide emission costs of logistics enterprises,first,typical logistics enterprises(TLEs)were defined based on current literature research.Secondly,combined with the actual operation and characteristics of TLEs,the generalized carbon emissions(GCEs)from logistics links such as transportation,warehousing,loading and unloading,circulation processing,distribution,and logistics information services were converted into GCEs from five operational processes:fuel combustion in transportation and distribution links,exhaust gas purification,net purchased and used electricity,net purchased and used heat,and fuel combustion in loading and unloading operations.Then,a calculation model for GCEs of TLEs was established,and a calculation model for GCE costs of TLEs was developed by combining carbon quota and carbon trading mechanisms.Finally,a case study was conducted with a TLE as an example.The results show that in the logistics activities of the TLE,the processes of net purchased electricity and fuel combustion contribute 61.44%and 38.44%of GCEs,respectively;Furthermore,compared with the use of electrical energy,each ton of diesel consumed results in an increase of 0.89 tCO2e in GCEs.The main paths to reduce GCEs and GCE costs are replacing existing fossil fuel energy with electric energy and reducing the carbon dioxide emission factor in the power industry.关键词
