Effects of Organic Substitution on Wheat Yield and Soil Physical and Chemical Properties

Abstract
Aiming at the problems of soil degradation and agricultural sustainability caused by excessive application of chemical fertilizers,two townships in Yunyang District,Shiyan City,Hubei Province,were used as experimental areas to explore the effects of organic fertilizers replacing some chemical fertilizers on wheat yield,economic benefits,and soil quality.Six treatments(no fertilization control,conventional fertilization,optimized fertilization,and organic substitution of 15%,30%,and 45%fertilization)were set up through field positioning experiments to determine and analyze wheat yield,economic benefits,and soil physical and chemical indicators.The results showed that fertilization could significantly increase wheat yield(P<0.05).Compared with conventional fertilization,the yield of organic fertilizer replacing 15%chemical fertilizer in Liupi Town increased by 4.8%.The yield of chemical fertilizer optimized fertilization treatment in Anyang Town was the highest,which was 6.3%higher than that of conventional fertilization.The economic benefit analysis showed that the organic substitution of 15%in Liubei Town had the highest income,reaching 12 640 yuan·hm-2 the income of optimized fertilization of chemical fertilizer in Anyang Town was the best,reaching 13 043 yuan·hm-2,and the ratio of output to input was 6.75.In terms of soil quality,organic substitution significantly increased soil-available nutrients and organic matter content.Among them,the content of available potassium in Liupi Town organic fertilizer replacing 30%chemical fertilizer reached 316.97 mg·kg-1,and the content of available nitrogen in Anyang Town organic fertilizer replacing 30%chemical fertilizer increased by 55.79%.However,excessive substitution leads to an increase in fertilization costs and a significant decrease in yield and benefits.In summary,the recommended organic substitution ratio in wheat production in Yunyang District was 15%-30%,and the comprehensive yield increase rate was 29.3%-71.3%.It can effectively increase yield and improve soil quality and provide a scientific basis for regional fertilizer reduction and green planting and breeding cycles.关键词
