摘要
Abstract
Genitourinary syndrome of menopause(GSM)is a chronic and progressive disease caused by deficiency of estrogen and androgen during menopause.The main symptoms of GSM include vulvovaginal atrophy and sexual difficulties.Androgen acts directly on androgen receptors in target tissues or converted into estrogen by aromatase,which plays a crucially biological role in the development and maintenance of urogenital system.Androgen therapy is controversial for menopausal women,and few preparations have been approved for clinical use.The aim of this article is to review the research progress of androgen on GSM treatment and gain a more comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness and safety of androgen therapy for GSM.关键词
