Abstract
In this research,a method that incorporates inductors and capacitors as an input current ripple cancellation network based on traditional Boost power factor correction(PFC)converters is proposed.The traditional Boost PFC inductor is replaced with coupled inductors,and combined with auxiliary inductors and capacitor branches to reduce input current ripple.Small-signal analysis results show that this converter can exhibit static and dynamic characteristics similar to those of traditional Boost PFCs.The simulation analysis indicates that the power factor(PF)of the improved Boost PFC is 0.999 and the total harmonic distortion(THD)is less than 5%.A testing prototype with a rated power of 300 W,an input of 220 V AC,and an output of 400 V was built by means of the NCP1654 chip with single-cycle control.The experimental results show that this converter has advantages of low input current ripple,high power factor,and low THD.关键词
