Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of microsuspension laryngoscopic excision of vocal fold polyps on postoperative vocal fold morphology and laryngeal function in patients with vocal fold polyps.Methods A total of 92 patients with vocal fold polyps who underwent polyp excision at Zhengzhou Ninth People's Hospital from May 2021 to May 2025 were randomly assigned to a control group(fiberoptic laryngoscopic surgery)or an observation group(microsuspension laryngoscopic surgery),with 46 cases in each group.Surgical outcomes were compared between the two groups.Results The treatment efficacy rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Operative time,time to first phonation,time to voice recovery,and length of hospital stay were all significantly shorter in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The proportion of patients whose vocal fold morphology returned to normal was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant between-group differences in the proportions of vocal fold edema or scarring,or in polyp recurrence(P>0.05).Postoperatively,jitter(Jitter)and shimmer(Shimmer)values were lower than preoperative levels in both groups,while signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)values were higher than preoperative levels;moreover,the observation group had lower Jitter and Shimmer and higher SNR than the control group(P<0.05).Postoperative scores for each dimension of the Voice Handicap Index(VHI)decreased in both groups compared with pre-treatment,and were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications did not differ significantly between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion For patients undergoing excision of vocal fold polyps,microsuspension laryngoscopy yields better efficacy,promotes postoperative restoration of vocal fold morphology,shortens operative time,facilitates postoperative recovery,and reduces the impact on laryngeal function.关键词
