Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of multislice spiral computed tomography(MSCT)and high-resolution CT(HRCT)targeted scanning for tiny pulmonary nodules.Methods Sixty patients with tiny pulmonary nodules treated at Jiaozuo Second People's Hospital from March 2022 to February 2024 underwent both MSCT and HRCT examinations.Using pathology as the gold standard,the sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of MSCT and HRCT for diagnosing tiny pulmonary nodules were analyzed,and the detection of characteristic imaging signs was compared.Results Pathology identified 55 positive and 5 negative cases.MSCT yielded 38 positives and 22 negatives;HRCT yielded 48 positives and 12 negatives;the combined assessment yielded 56 positives and 4 negatives.The comparison among MSCT,HRCT,and combined detection revealed statistically significant differences in both sensitivity and accuracy(P＜0.001).Pairwise comparisons demonstrated that the combined detection method exhibited higher sensitivity and accuracy than either MSCT or HRCT alone(P＜0.025)..Regarding the detection rates of imaging features-including lobulation sign,vacuole sign,pleural indentation sign,spiculation sign,and vascular convergence sign-significant differences were observed among the three methods(all P＜0.05).Pairwise comparisons indicated that the combined detection method achieved higher detection rates for all imaging features compared to MSCT alone(all P＜0.025).However,no statistically significant differences were found between the combined detection and HRCT alone for any of the features(all P＞0.025).Conclusion Both MSCT and HRCT are reliable for diagnosing tiny pulmonary nodules,and the combined approach provides superior diagnostic performance.关键词
