Perioperative Emergency Strategies and Outcomes for Thyroid Cancer Surgery:A Comparative Analysis of Structured Emergency Protocols and Traditional Empirical Management

Abstract
Objective To compare the effectiveness of structured emergency protocols versus traditional em-pirical management in handling perioperative emergencies during thyroid cancer surgery.Methods A retrospec-tive study was conducted on 60 thyroid cancer patients who underwent surgery at Jinsha County People's Hospital from January 2023 to January 2025.Based on the type of emergency strategy employed,the patients were divided into the control group(traditional empirical management,30 cases)and the observation group(structured emer-gency protocol,30 cases).The two groups were compared in terms of emergency response efficiency,intraoperative and postoperative complications,surgical parameters,postoperative recovery,and hemodynamic indicators.Re-sults The observation group had significantly shorter response times,emergency treatment durations,surgery times,intraoperative blood loss,hospital stays,and recovery times compared to the control group(P＜0.05).The to-tal incidence of intraoperative and postoperative complications in the observation group was 6.67％and 10.00％,re-spectively,which were significantly lower than the control group's 26.67％and 33.33％(P＜0.05).Prior to emergen-cy treatment,there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),heart rate(HR),and mean arterial pressure(MAP)(P＞0.05).After emergency in-tervention,all hemodynamic indicators improved significantly in both groups,with the observation group showing significantly higher levels of SBP,DBP,HR,and MAP compared to the control group(P＜0.001).Conclusion The implementation of a structured emergency protocol during the perioperative period of thyroid cancer surgery can significantly enhance emergency response efficiency,reduce intraoperative blood loss,decrease the incidence of complications,promote faster recovery,and maintain the stability of physiological functions.关键词
