A comparative visualization of the hotspots of research on outcome-based education in medical education at home and abroad

Abstract
Objective To conduct a comparative analysis of research hotspots and emerging trends in outcome-based education(OBE)within the field of medical education,both in China and abroad,so as to provide references for future research.Methods Literature related to OBE in medical education over the past two decades was retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and the Web of Science Core Collection(WOS).Using CiteSpace 6.3.R1,publication volume and keyword analyses were performed.Results The number of OBE-related publications in the field of medical education has shown an overall upward trend both domestically and internationally.In China,research has mainly focused on curriculum reform,innovative teaching models,and talent cultivation,with growing attention in recent years to online teaching and ideological and political education.International research has centered on student competencies,curriculum design,and evaluation,with increased emphasis in the past two years on training resident physicians and improving teaching quality.Conclusions OBE has developed steadily in the field of medical education both in China and internationally,although research hotspots show certain similarities and differences.While OBE in China started later than abroad,it is developing rapidly.关键词
