Abstract
Cancer patients are prone to cancer-related fatigue during the course of the disease due to the influence of the disease itself and the treatment methods.The understanding of cancer-related fatigue in traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine is in the process of gradually improving,there are many pathogenic factors and influencing factors of cancer-related fatigue,so there is still no complete system for its treatment.At present,the treatment of cancer-related fatigue is mainly divided into non-pharmacological intervention and pharmacological treatment.Western medical non-pharmacological intervention mainly includes exercise,psychological and social intervention,nutrition counseling,and sleep cognitive behavior therapy.TCM believes that traditional exercises[including Baduanjin(八段锦),Taijiquan(太极拳),Wuqinxi(五禽戏),etc.],acupuncture,moxibustion,hot pack along meridians,five element music therapy and other interventions can relieve the symptoms of fatigue and insomnia in patients with cancer-related fatigue.In terms of medical treatment,Western medicine believes that erythropoietin can be used to correct anemia,central stimulants can be used to relieve fatigue symptoms,and end-stage patients can be given corticosteroids(prednisone or dexamethasone)to relieve related symptoms.In the treatment of cancer-related fatigue,TCM generally believes that it belongs to the category of"deficiency and fatigue".Some clinical observation and studies have shown that treating cancer-related fatigue patients by the methads of tonifying Qi(气)and strengthening the spleen,soothing the liver and nourishing blood,and tonifying the kidney and essence can significantly relieve the discomfort.TCM syndrome differentiation has shown great advantages in the clinical treatment of cancer-related fatigue.This article aims to analyze and explore the research progress of TCM and Western medicine on cancer-related fatigue in recent years,so as to provide a theoretical reference for finding effective,safe and reliable treatment methods.关键词
