Antifungal Activity of Extracts from 19 Species of Plants Against Three Phytopathogenic Fungi

摘要

Abstract

The antifungal activities of alcohol extracts from 19 plants against Ceratocystis paradoxa,Pestalotiopsis theae and Sclerotinia sclerotio-rum were determined by growth rate method.The results showed that:Inhibition rate against Ceratocystis paradoxa of 4 plant extracts were above 60%when their concentration was 10 mg/mL.They were Michelia alba(97.29%),Ficus abelii(96.99%),Chrysanthemum indicum(93.12%)and Eucalyptus(74.21%),and their median effective concentration(EC50)were 3.414 5,3.568 6,3.618 6,4.395 6 mg/mL,re-spectively,while the remaining 15 plant extracts were below 60%.Inhibition rate against Pestalotiopsis theae of 4 plant extracts were above 60%when their concentration was 10 mg/mL.They were Michelia alba(79.65%),Ficus abelii(74.12%),Chrysanthemum indicum(70.81%)and Eucalyptus(64.29%),and their EC50 were 4.448 5,4.581 2,4.864 7,6.360 6 mg/mL,respectively,while the remaining 15 plant extracts were below 60%.Inhibition rate against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum of 4 plant extracts were above 60%when their concentration was 10 mg/mL.They were Chrysanthemum indicum(76.06%),Eucalyptus(75.95%),Michelia alba(66.27%)and Ficus abelii(65.85%),and their EC50 were 4.613 6,4.460 9,5.163 2,5.511 4 mg/mL,respectively,while the remaining 15 plant extracts were below 60%.The alcohol extracts from Mich-elia alba,Ficus abelii,Chrysanthemum indicum and Eucalyptus had good antifungal activities against Ceratocystis paradoxa,Pestalotiopsis theae and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum.
