Abstract

Taking the middle tobacco samples from different sampling points in the tobacco regions of southern Anhui in 2022 and 2023 as the research objects,the appearance characteristics of tobacco samples were analyzed.The results showed that in the descriptive analysis of trait in-dices,the coefficient of variation of three indices(the identity difference between the leaf tip and leaf base,thickness and the color difference between leaf surface and leaf back)in tobacco regions of southern Anhui were larger.In the cluster analysis,these three indices had significant differences among different sampling points.In the comparison of 2022 and 2023 samples,the identity difference between leaf tip and leaf base,and the color difference between leaf surface and leaf back showed a large coefficient of variation.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the ap-pearance characteristics of tobacco samples in the southern Anhui by improving the identity difference between the leaf tip and leaf base,thick-ness,the color difference between the leaf surface and leaf back.The identity difference between the leaf tip and leaf base,thickness,the color difference between the leaf surface and leaf back should be taken as the important reference indices to screen out the appearance regional char-acteristics of flue-cured tobacco in tobacco regions of southern Anhui.
