Application progress of telemedicine in management and monitoring of chronic heart failure

Abstract
Chronic heart failure(HF),as a multidisciplinary syndrome,remains a significant public health issue and the leading cause of mortality worldwide.Despite the continuous advancements in treatment approaches for heart failure,medical intervention tends to be primarily provided in the late stages of the disease.Meanwhile,the insidious progression of heart failure coupled with patients'inadequate self-management skills,may contribute to a poor prognoses and diminished quality of life.Through structured telephone support,virtual visits,and digital platforms for remote monitoring,medical staff and patients can engage in real-time interactions.This facilitates the assessment of patients at various stages of heart failure and the provision of continuously optimized treatment.Various physiological parameters can be collected and remotely transferred by intelligent monitoring equipment,providing a more comprehensive and objective basis for diagnosing and treating the disease.Telemedicine integrates heart failure into a multidisciplinary management plan,establishing a remote monitoring model based on telemedicine and involving the family unit which can further reduce the incidence,hospitalization rates,and mortality associated with heart failure,ultimately improving patient outcomes.However,the lack of structured remote healthcare programs has led to varying conclusions on the clinical benefits of remote healthcare across different modes.Further validation is needed to determine the effectiveness of remote healthcare in reducing overall hospitalization risk and mortality rates.Additionally,addressing issues such as reimbursement for remote device expenses,network coverage,device connectivity,and personal information protection is crucial for the popularization and promotion of remote healthcare.Advancements in remote healthcare information technology have the potential to enhance the monitoring and management of heart failure patients through remote healthcare.关键词
