摘要

Abstract

Sicyos angulatus is a key invasive weed under strict management in China.Recently,it has shown a rapid spread in the lower reaches of the Yalu River,seriously affecting agricultural production and urban greening.This study examines S.angulatus populations across three habitats:Farmland,roadsides,and residential areas.The differences in S.angulatus infructescence traits are analyzed to explore fruit phenotypic characteristics and biomass allocation response to habitat,using one-way ANOVA and correlation analysis.The results showed:1)The biomass of infructescence and fruits exhibited moderate variation(31.62%~47.66%)across habitats,whereas infructescence length and width showed weak variation(8.34%~10.61%).The variation coefficients of infructescence modules were higher in roadside and residential habitats than in farmland.2)Infructescence length and volume were significantly greater in residential and farmland than in roadsides,while infructescence width decreased sequentially from residential to farmland to roadside habitats.3)Infructescence biomass in residential and farmland habitats was significantly higher than in roadside habitats.Fruit biomass decreased in the order of vegetable fields,residential,and roadside.However,hundred-grain weight in farmland was significantly higher than in residential and roadside habitats.4)Inflorescence volume was significantly and positively correlated with and fruit number,and inflorescence width and length were also positively correlated.Fruit biomass was positively correlated with inflorescence biomass and volume.Significant differences in infructescence traits and biomass characteristics were observed among habitats.These correlations between traits and biomass allocation in reproductive modules of S.angulatus demonstrates resource allocation patterns and adaptation strategies.
