Abstract

By adopting alkaline amylase and alkaline pectinase compound system,pure cotton woven fabric was treated by cold pad-batch desizing and scouring one-step method.The influence of process parameters such as desizing grade,desizing rate,capillary effect and pectin removal rate on desizing and scouring effects were systematically investigated,and the results were compared with traditional alkaline-based desizing and scouring process.Experimental results demonstrated that when alkaline amylase concentration was 4 g/L,alkaline pecti-nase concentration was 8 g/L,the enzyme-treated and desizing and scouring-processed pure cotton woven fabric achieved a desizing grade of 8,a desizing rate exceeding 90%,a pectin removal rate over 70%,and a capillary effect of 10 cm/30 min.Compared with traditional alkaline-based desizing and scouring process,the enzymatic process not only fulfilled the requirements for desizing and scouring effects,but also reduced the damage to fabric breaking strength by 10%.
