Engineers and the Spirit of Engineers:An Interdisciplinary Research Field in Urgent Need of Development
摘要
Abstract
Engineers are an important force driving the development of modern economy and society.Among the group of scientific and technical workers,engineers occupy an indispensable and important position.With the"engineer spirit"as their soul,they have become the backbone of promoting the development of new productive forces.Although engineers have made outstanding contributions in the real world,they are in an awkward position of"being devalued and ignored"in the hall of academic research.Compared with the in-depth study of scientists,artists,entrepreneurs and other groups,the systematic and interdisciplinary discussion about engineers is scattered and weak.Therefore,this journal specially launched the special issue of"Studies on Engineers and Engineer Spirit",aiming to identify this research topic as an interdisciplinary research field that needs to be explored.This article will briefly analyze the existing research,explain our basic understanding of engineers and engineer spirit,and comment on the contributions of the articles in this special issue,while looking forward to the basic path of future research.关键词
