Discussion on Five Phases Theory in Relation to the Zang-fu Organs from the Perspective of Generation Through Restriction
摘要
Abstract
The five phases theory serves as a reasoning tool in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),while the Zangxiang theory is the core of TCM.The combination of the five phases and the zang-fu organs acts as a bridge between philosophy and medicine.The five phases theory,with its concepts of mutual generation and mutual restriction,guides the development of clinical treatment in TCM.However,"mutual restriction"does not imply absolute harm or opposition.Just as yin and yang are interdependent and interrelated,the two sides in a restrictive relationship within the five elements also have"generation within restriction",that is,"generation through restriction".The purpose of this article is to clarify the relationship of"generation within restriction"existing in five phases theory in relation to the zang-fu organs,and attempt to interpret some terms in current TCM theory from this perspective,so as to sort out the clinical treatment thinking in TCM.关键词
