Abstract
The process of renewable energy substitution has accelerated since the introduction of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.As a low-carbon fuel,green gas has emerged as one of the strategic options for the low-carbon transition of the urban gas industry,owing to its closed carbon cycle characteristics and compatibility with conventional gas systems.Reviewing the current status and technological advances in green gas development domestically and internationally,the paper estimates that China's biogas potential could reach 150 to 200 billion cubic meters and is expected to play a pivotal role in China's future natural gas supply structure if supplemented by synthetic methane technology.At present,China's green gas sector faces such challenges as an underdeveloped industrial system,limited scale,and poor economic viability.It proposes to establish a green gas certification system,develop a supply model based on"multi-source distributed gas production+integrated intelligent pipeline network+green gas user clusters",foster an industry-academia-research collaboration platform,and promote technological progress.关键词
