Abstract

Aiming to efficiently support oilfield development,fine reservoir description technology(referred to as"fine description technology")in Daqing Oilfield has experienced 5 leaps in development and has formed 5 major technical series,including development logging processing and interpretation,development seismic interpretation,fine reservoir description,geological modeling and remaining oil description,which effectively support the sus-tained high and stable production of Daqing Oilfield at various development stages.Currently,the main oilfields have entered late stage of ultra-high water cut,resulting in increasing difficulties in remaining oil potential tapping and new challenges to the capability of fine description technology to support efficient development of oilfields.Therefore,based on the objective analysis of current status of the main fine description technology,technical prob-lems and requirements on reservoir description are summarized in detail to propose development direction of fine de-scription technology.The research suggests that,the current fine description technology in Daqing Oilfield exists problems of incomplete,imprecise and inconsistent interpretation of logging parameters at different stages.The structural interpretation for oil member cannot meet the needs of sedimentary-unit level injector-producer relation-ship.Reservoir description in small block exists problems of inconsistent layered boundaries between blocks,with extention characteristics of boundary sand bodies inconsistent with sedimentary patterns.Numerical simulation re-sults of small block modeling exist problems of poor inheritance caused by the diversity of grid directions,scales and types.Aiming at the aboved problems,a new round of fine reservoir description has been proposed with the core of"logging parameters completion and consistent interpretation,precise interpretation of sedimentary-unit lev-el structures,fine description of development-zone level reservoirs and integrated research on development-zone level modeling and numerical simulation".A new generation of fine reservoir description technology with the conno-tation of"standardized workflows,intelligent methods,full-types of reservoirs and precise targeting"has been con-structed to achieve iterative upgrading of fine reservoir description technology and consolidate the foundation of cen-tennial oilfield development.
