Research progress on non-tissue culture-based genetic transformation system in fruit trees

摘要

Abstract

Genetic transformation is an important technique for studying plant gene functions and advancing biological breeding.Plant genetic transformation system mainly relies on efficient tissue culture regeneration system.However,due to the challenges of tissue culture,the transformation efficiency in fruit trees,especially woody species,remains low.Recently,genetic transformation methods independent of tissue culture have rapidly developed,offering new approaches for fruit tree research.This paper reviews the latest progress in plant non-tissue culture-based genetic transformation techniques and their applications in fruit trees.Additionally,we discuss future prospects for these methods in fruit tree research,with the aim of advancing molecular breeding efforts.
