摘要

Abstract

To mitigate safety risks and reduce environmental pollution associated with phenolic foam,water was selected as the blowing agent to replace traditional organic blowing agents such as ethyl ether,n-pentane,and petroleum ether.The results demonstrate that the addition of boric acid signifi-cantly enhances the properties of phenolic foam.When the addition amount reaches 15 wt%,the com-pressive strength of the material increases by 15.7%compared to the control group,while the oxygen in-dex is 50%,representing an 85.2%improvement over the control group.In terms of thermal stability,the boric acid-modified foam exhibits a 35.2%elevation in initial degradation temperature and a 150.3%rise in residual mass at 500℃.It achieves residual mass at 800℃that is 27 times greater than that of the control group,thereby demonstrating exceptional flame retardancy and thermal stability.
