Analysis of"Geng Gui Geng Jian"in Five Elements System in Huang Di Nei Jing
摘要
Abstract
The Five Elements System is a method of classification,which represents the interactions among five variables.In Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),the primary purpose of the Five Elements is to describe the Qi of the Five Zang,where there exists a mutual generating and overcoming interaction between the Zang and Fu organs,leading to dynamic changes in the Qi represented by each ele-ment,which results in the cyclical variation of the Qi's"Geng Gui Geng Jian".Viewing the Five Elements as five subsystems,with gen-erating and overcoming coupling between them,a mathematical model of the Five Elements based on an enzyme regulatory network is constructed against the background of systems biology.Through simulation of evolutionary dynamics,the five variables representing the Five Elements quickly exhibit oscillatory states of periodic change,where their values alternate in reaching maximums over time,reflec-ting the alternating enlargement pattern of"Geng Gui Geng Jian"as described in Su Weno Zang Qi Fa Shi Lun.Moreover,the Five Ele-ments'mutual generating and overcoming model displays a certain level of anti-disturbance capability,indicating good adaptability.Applying the concept of the Five Elements System to the human body's Five Zang and constructing a functional system network centered around the organs embodies the holistic view of TCM and the principles of systems science.关键词
