Abstract

In order to quantitatively analyze the influencing factors of Gaussian light-single-mode fiber coupling efficiency,a set of fiber coupling optical system schemes was designed based on the coupling principle of Gaussian beams and single-mode fibers.The mathematical expression of the coupling efficiency of single-mode optical fibers was obtained through theoretical derivation.The ZEMAX optical design software was used to conduct a detailed simulation analysis of the designed optical coupling system scheme.The influences of key parameters such as the focal length of the lens,the Angle between the beam and the lens,and the relative position deviation between the end face of the optical fiber and the focus of the lens on the coupling efficiency were quantitatively evaluated.The experiment verified the accuracy of the simulation data.Under the condition that the ideal focal length of the lens is 11mm,within the variation range of 0.28 to 1.67 times of the ideal focal length,the fiber coupling efficiency can be maintained at a relatively optimal level.The influence of angular error on coupling efficiency is extremely significant.The tolerance of axial error is one order of magnitude larger than that of radial error,providing a theoretical basis and experimental support for the optimization of coupling efficiency between Gaussian beams and single-mode optical fibers.
