Abstract

To systematically investigate the response characteristics and collaborative working mechanism of frame-supported PVB(polyvinyl butyral)-laminated insulating glass under far-field blast loading,a finite element model considering the fluid-structure interaction between the glass panels and cavity was developed using LS-DYNA and validated against the test results.Through parametric analysis,three typical collaborative modes(contact collaborative load-bearing mode,non-contact collaborative load-bearing mode and independent front panel load-bearing mode)were identified,along with their respective load-sharing characteristics.Three key parameters(energy absorption difference coefficient,panel energy proportion coefficient,and displacement proportion coefficient)were introduced to quantitatively characterize the load sharing features between the inner and outer panels,and their relationships with blast scenarios,panel sizes,and insulating cavity thicknesses were systematically established.Furthermore,the dimensionless stiffness ratios between the glass panels and the insulating cavity were proposed.Results indicate that the displacement proportion coefficient is insensitive to scaled distance but exhibits a positive correlation with the stiffness ratio.Superior collaborative performance between panels is observed at stiffness ratios below 0.6.Finally,a simplified dynamic load sharing factor-based method was proposed and validated,demonstrating high accuracy within scaled distances of 4.3 m/kg1/3 to 10.8 m/kg1/3,panel and cavity width-to-thickness ratios exceeding 125 and 83,respectively.
