Swedenborg and the Turn of Kant's Thought
摘要
Abstract
The formation of Kant's philosophy is not achieved overnight,but stems from the communi-cation and collision with other thinkers over years.Among these thinkers,Swedenborg is undoubtedly a particularly noteworthy one.Before 1766,Kant inevitably approached Swedenborg,due to the Swedish theologian social prestige and the difficulties Kant faced in the turn of moral philosophy.With the reading of Swedenborg works,Kant increasingly realized that Swedenborg was essentially a fanatical "spiritualist",While Swedenborg differed from traditional dogmatic metaphysics,he nevertheless became trapped in an inescapable "delusion".After 1770,following his engagement with rationalist ethics and moral emotivism,Kant gradually became aware of the close relationship between Swedenborg's "spiritual world" and his "kingdom of ends".Kant's experience with Swedenborg went through a complex process from initial approach to rejection and then acceptance after transformation.关键词
