Abstract

To investigate the seismic performance and damage process of the earthquake-damaged prefabricated steel-reinforced concrete frame after reinforcement and repair,the beam ends of two earthquake-damaged prefabricated steel-reinforced concrete frames were reinforced with high-strength steel wire mesh,and the column bases were strengthened with inclined braces or steel-encased composite reinforcement.Low-cycle reversed cyclic tests were then conducted on these frames.The failure modes of the specimens were observed,and the seismic performance such as load-displacement hysteresis curve,skeleton curve,stiffness degradation,energy dissipation,strength degradation and inter-story displacement angle of each specimen before and after reinforcement were compared and analyzed.Finally,a cumulative energy dissipation damage assessment model suitable for prefabricated steel reinforced concrete frames was established.The results show that the failure modes of strengthened specimens are mainly characterized by crushing and spalling of high-strength grouting material,buckling of inclined support and outer steel.The hysteresis curve is full fusiform;the peak loads of frames with two reinforcement forms of inclined support and outer steel increased by 28.3%and 30.1%,respectively.Both specimens showed significant improvements in stiffness and energy dissipation capacity,with maximum increases of 45.8%and 41.8%,respectively.The strength degradation of both specimens showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing.The ultimate inter-story displacement angles of the specimens are between 3/98 and 3/97,indicating strong collapse resistance.The cumulative energy dissipation-based damage assessment model for prefabricated steel reinforced concrete frames was proposed,and the calculation results were in good agreement with the experimental results.
