Abstract
Based on the one-dimensional performance simulation platform GT-Power,steady-state simulation calculations were conducted for the propulsion characteristics and universal characteristics of a diesel engine equipped with sequential turbocharging.And the performance analysis of key parameters and research on switching control strategies were carried out based on simulation results.The results indicate that under propulsion characteristics,adopting a single turbocharger(1TC)operating mode at 0~12%load,a dual-turbocharger(2TC)operating mode at 12%~70%load,and a triple-turbocharger(3TC)operating mode at 70%~100%load can significantly improve the performance of the diesel engine,enhance power output,and achieve optimal fuel consumption.Under universal characteristics,employing the 3TC operating mode at full load in the high-speed range(>2 090 r/min),the 2TC operating mode at the medium-load in medium-speed range(1 100~2 090 r/min),and the 1TC operating mode at the low-load in low-speed range(<1 100 r/min)can maintain optimal intake pressure,peak cylinder pressure,exhaust gas temperature before the turbine and fuel consumption,which ensures optimal matching between the turbocharger and the diesel engine across the entire operating range.关键词
