Effects of Trichoderma harzianum on Enzyme Activity,Nutrients and Fusarium Wilt in Rhizosphere Soil of Melon under Continuous Cultivation for Years

Abstract
This study investigates the effect of Trichoderma harzianum on the challenges posed by eight years of continuous cultiva-tion of melon.A pot culture experiment was conducted using a control treatment without Trichoderma harzianum(CK)to examine its influence on enzyme activities,nutrient availability,and the occurence of Fusarium wilt in the rhizosphere soil of melon.The results showed that,compared to the CK treatment,the application of Trichoderma harzianum DQ002 significantly enhanced the activities of sucrase,dehydrogenase and alkaline phosphatase in the rhizosphere soil of oriental melon.It also regulated the varia-tions in urease activity over different growth periods and promoted increases in both pH and electrical conductivity(EC)values in the rhizosphere soil.Furthermore,Trichoderma harzianum treatment decreased the levels of ammonium nitrogen and available phosphorus while increasing nitrate nitrogen content,leading to a reduction in the incidence of Fusarium wilt.Notably,the inci-dence of fusarium wilt was negatively correlated with the activities of sucrose and phosphatase,as well as with the content of nitrate nitrogen in soil.These findings suggest that Trichoderma harzianum modulates the absorption of ammonium nitrogen,nitrate nitro-gen,and available phosphorus by regulating pH,EC,and soil enzyme activities in the rhizosphere of oriental melon,thereby reduc-ing Fusarium wilt occurrence and mitigating the detrimental effects of eight years of continuous cropping on oriental melon.关键词
