袢钢板治疗踝关节骨折合并下胫腓联合损伤
A clinical study of loop plates in the treatment of ankle fractures complicated with hypotibiofibular symphysis injury

Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical effects of loop plate and screw fixation in the treatment of ankle fracture complicated with tibiofibular symphysis injury.Methods The clinical data of 62 patients with ankle fracture and combined tibiofibular injury who were treated with internal fixation in the orthopedic center of Maanshan General Hospital of Ranger-Duree Healthcare from May 2021 to February 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.The operation time,intraoperative blood loss,partial weight-bearing time and complete weight-bearing time of the affected limb were compared between the two groups.According to the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS)ankle and hindfoot scoring standards,the recovery of ankle function in the two groups was evaluated at 1,3,6 and 12 months follow-up after surgery,respectively.Postoperative complications in both groups were monitored.Results All patients were followed-up for 12-16 months,with an average of(14.24±1.11)months.There was no significant difference in operation time and intraoperative blood loss between the two groups(P>0.05).However,the partial and complete weight-bearing times of patients in the loop steel group were shorter than those in the screw group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the AOFAS ankle and hindfoot scores in the loop steel group were higher than those in the screw group at 1,3 and 6 months after surgery,statistically significant differences were observed(P<0.05);but no significant differences were found in AOFAS ankle and hindfoot scores between the two groups one year after surgery(P>0.05).Additionally,no significant differences were noted in two cases of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Both the loop plate and the screw can effectively fix the ankle fracture and the hypotibiofibular symphysis injury.However,the elastic fixation of the loop plate promotes early weight-bearing exercise,accelerates recovery of ankle function and avoids the inconvenience of a second operation.This makes it advantageous in clinical application and worthy of wider recognition and adoption.关键词
