Impact of social trust and personal constraints on farmers' adoption of water-saving irrigation technology
摘要
Abstract
To explore the influence and mechanism of social trust and personal constraints on farmers' adoption of water-saving irrigation technology,the study uses 1 250 field survey data to analyze the impact of social trust and personal constraints on farmers' adoption of water-saving irrigation technology by constructing a binary Logit model and verifies whether there is a complementary effect between social trust and personal constraints.The study found that,system trust and interpersonal trust used to characterize social trust have a significant positive effect on farmers' adoption of water-saving irrigation technology.The marginal effect of personal constraints on farmers' adoption of water-saving irrigation technology is decreasing,and for each unit of personal constraints,farmers' adoption of water-saving irrigation technology decreases by 0.064 units.There is a certain complementary effect between social trust and personal constraints.In addition,the gender of farmers,the number of family farmers and farmers' responsibilities play an important role in promoting farmers' adoption of water-saving irrigation technology.关键词
