摘要

Abstract

To conserve resources and enhance transportation efficiency,the micro-groove drag reduction technology thus has wide application prospects.This paper focuses on the flow drag reduction issue of pipelines with triangular micro-grooved walls.The SST k-ω turbulence model is applied to simulate turbulent flow in the near-wall region,investigating the effects of triangular micro-groove size and tip angle on flow drag reduction performance under different Reynolds numbers.It also analyzes the characteristics of the velocity field,wall shear stress,turbulence intensity,and turbulent kinetic energy of pipelines with triangular micro-grooved walls and smooth-walled pipelines.The results show that the smaller the size and tip angle of the triangular microgroove,the better the drag reduction effect,with the maximum drag reduction can reaching 20.2%.Low-speed streaks and counter-rotating velocity vortices are formed inside the micro-grooves,which reduce the wall frictional resistance and suppress the development of spanwise flow.The wall shear stress,turbulence intensity and turbulent kinetic energy of the microgrooved walls are lower than the smooth wall,and the fluid flow is relatively stable and the energy loss is reduced.
