Data Mining Analysis of the Formulation Rules for Traditional Chinese Medicine Compounds in the Prevention and Treatment of Degenerative Diseases of the Lumbar Intervertebral Disc

Abstract
Objective This study aimed to analyze the formulation rules of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)compound pre-scriptions in the prevention and treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc degenerative diseases using data mining techniques,with the expectation of providing clinical medication guidance.Methods From January 1,2005,to May 3,2024,relevant literature was retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database.A total of 59 documents were screened out through strict inclusion and exclusion criteria.SPSS Statistics 27 software was used for statistical analysis of the included TCM compound prescriptions to summarize the medication rules.Results The data showed that tonics,dispelling dampness and wind medicines,and blood-activating and stasis-removing drugs are the core medications for treating lumbar intervertebral disc de-generative diseases.The most frequently used Chinese medicinal herbs include Angelica sinensis(Danggui),Eucommia ul-moides(Duzhong),and Achyranthes bidentata(Niuxi).Analysis of meridian tropism indicated that the liver,spleen,and kid-ney meridians are the main meridians for treating lumbar intervertebral disc degenerative diseases.Flavor and nature analysis showed that warm nature medicines,sweet taste medicines,and pungent taste medicines are dominant in treatment.Conclusion Data mining technology has revealed the medication rules of TCM compound prescriptions in the prevention and treatment of lum-bar intervertebral disc degenerative diseases,providing a scientific basis for clinical practice.The results of this study emphasize the importance of supplements,dispelling dampness and wind,and blood-activating and stasis-removing medicines,and point out the core role of the liver,spleen,and kidney meridians in treatment,as well as the therapeutic characteristics of warm na-ture,sweet taste,and pungent taste medicines.关键词
