Exploring the Correlation Between Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Vitamin D Based on"the Spleen's Function in Distributing Essence:Implications for Vitamin D Metabolism"

Abstract
The incidence of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS),a heterogeneous disease that affects the physical and psy-chological health of adolescent and childbearing women,has been increasing year by year.Recently,more and more studies have shown that PCOS patients are often associated with vitamin D deficiency,and the degree of vitamin D deficiency is related to the severity of PCOS.According to Chinese medicine,vitamin D can be used as a kind of subtle substance in the"spleen's trans-port",which overflows all over the body and combines with vitamin D receptors in various cells to play a role.If the spleen's transport function fails,vitamin D metabolism will be malfunctioned,and symptoms such as obesity,insulin resistance,and oxi-dative stress will gradually arise.To explore the pathogenesis of PCOS in Chinese medicine,spleen deficiency and spleen dys-function are crucial in the pathogenesis of PCOS,so we can use the theory of"the spleen is the master of transport"to link PCOS and vitamin D metabolism,and to provide a new theoretical guidance for the prevention and treatment of PCOS with vitamin D deficiency in Chinese medicine.关键词
