Abstract
Sound metadata plays a crucial role in the film production workflow.However,in practice,the post-production de-partments frequently fail to obtain and transmit complete sound metadata due to the lack of turnover standards,collabora-tion gaps between departments,and software compatibility issues,thereby limiting its utilization.Specifically,when sound reconform processes are involved,missing metadata can lead to reconform failure,directly compromising film production efficiency and quality.This paper systematically analyzes the end-to-end workflow of sound metadata from the shooting site to sound post-production,elucidates its transmission mechanisms across audio files,metadata forms,editing software media pools,and interchange files(e.g.,edit decision list or advanced authoring format),and evaluates common dailies creation,editing,and audio post-production software to formulate recommended practices.Based on these findings,Python-based toolset for AAF inspection and modification is developed.The result shows the toolset can promote the in-depth ap-plication of sound metadata,enabling efficient asset retrieval,sound reconform,and other related operations across depart-ments,filling a critical gap in existing production workflows.关键词
