Objective Patient trust in doctors is a key part of mutual trust between doctors and patients,and an evaluation scale developed with good reliability and validity can be used to measure the level of patient trust in doctors.Methods This study retrieved Chinese and English literature published between 2000 and 2024 through databases including CNKI,Wanfang Data,and Web of Science,using keywords such as"patient trust in doctors","doctor-patient trust evaluation","Patient Trust in Doctors",and"Patient Trust Evaluation".Content analysis method was used to analyze and screen literature closely related to the topic,and ultimately 377 articles were included.We systematically organized the dimensions,reliability,and validity indicators of the scale through text analysis.Results The research on the scale of patient trust in doctor in foreign countries started earlier,with Thom & Hall as the main representatives of the study authors.The scale dimensions covered loyalty,ability,hon-esty,and overall trust,with Cronbach's coefficients generally higher than 0.85,laying foundation for subsequent research.Domestic studies,represented by Dong Enhong's team,developed Chinese versions with good reliability(Cronbach's coefficient of 0.89),whose applicability faced challenges due to differences in cultural and health-care system.Conclusions The literature on measuring doctor-patient trust has limitations in terms of research subjects.There are differences in the performance of patient trust measurement research both domestically and in-ternationally,and there are local shortcomings in the research methodology.The research on patient trust assess-ment system still needs to keep pace with the times.
