摘要

Abstract

Circular RNA is a class of non-coding RNA molecules with covalently closed circular structure,which is highly conserved in evolution and shows tissue-specific expression patterns.In this paper,the biogenesis mechanism and type,regulation mechanism of circular RNA and its latest progress in the regulation of beef quality were systematically reviewed.Circular RNA regulates fat de-position and muscle development through a variety of mechanisms,thereby affecting beef yield and quality.For example,circFU10 promotes subcutaneous adipose cell proliferation and inhibits differentiation by targeting PPARGC1B;circINSR relieves the inhibi-tion of miR-15/16 on FOXO1 and EPT1 through the miRNA sponge effect,thereby inhibiting the adipogenic differentiation of in-tramuscular fat.Circ2388 promotes myoblast differentiation and promotes the recovery and regeneration of damaged muscles.cir-cRRAS2 inhibits the proliferation and apoptosis of muscle stem cells and promotes the differentiation of myoblasts into myotubes.In addition,the biogenesis mechanism of circular RNA mainly depends on its unique reverse splicing process,which is regulated by a variety of cis-regulatory elements and trans-acting factors.This paper also discusses the potential of circular RNA as a candidate functional marker for innovative molecular breeding strategies,and proposes that precise regulation of its expression network is ex-pected to achieve synergistic improvement of beef yield and quality,which provides an important theoretical basis for modern ani-mal genetic improvement.
