Abstract

Ultra-low energy buildings are designed to fully utilize the natural environment and resources,which integrate passive energy-saving technologies(e.g natural daylighting,natural ventilation,and solar thermal radiation)with building insulation systems.This paper takes an ultra-low energy residential project in Zhengzhou as a case study,presenting its technical design parameters.Using these parameters,the annual heating demand was simulated to be 19.85 kWh/(m2·a),the annual cooling demand 7.35 kWh/(m2·a),and the primary energy demand 43.657 kWh/(m2·a)—all values meet the ultra-low energy efficiency standards.The heating,ventilation,and air conditioning(HVAC)system design is detailed,covering the heating and cooling source systems,air conditioning distribution system,and exhaust system.Finally,continuous monitoring of typical households during the cooling and heating seasons was conducted to analyze the system's operational performance.This study aims to inform the HVAC system design of similar ultra-low energy buildings.
