Abstract
Among the extant circulating editions of Zeng Bu's Daily Records,Correct Historical Comment on the Three Dynasties,recompiled by his son Zeng Yu,reflects intricate motivations behind its compilation and presentation.The historical context of the Song Dynasty Emperor Gaozong's revision of the Veritable Records inherently endowed Correct Historical Comment on the Three Dynasties with a refutation of the slander against Empress Dowager Xuanren.Simultaneously,Zeng Yu's editorial revisions of his father's original texts reveal the intent to justify his ancestors'reputation.The convoluted process of submitting the compiled texts to the throne signifies the persistence of factional strife between reformists and conservatives into the Southern Song Dynasty,while the entangled historical records underscore the decentralization of supervisory authority wielded by Censorial officials during that period.关键词
