Specifications of Digital Characterization for Macroscopic and Microscopic Identification of Insect Type of Chinese Materia Medica

Abstract
Objective:To enhance the macroscopic and microscopic identification methods for insect type of Chinese materia medica and provide a basis for their quality control.Methods:First,observational methods were employed to characterize the features of the samples.Key identification points,such as surface and cross-sectional structures,were digitally captured using photography.Additionally,powder samples were analyzing using reagent color reactions for quality evaluation of insect type of Chinese materia medica.Results:A characteristic image database was established for commonly used insect type of Chinese materia medica,including mantis egg-case,cicada slough,and plantworms,standardizing the identification process for such materials.Conclusion:The integration of macroscopic traits and microscopic features enables effective authentication and quality assessment of insect type of Chinese materia medica.This approach provides a reference for advancing digital identification techniques in the field of insect type of Chinese materia medica.关键词
